PITTSBURGH-After a national search, the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association has selected Jeff Gleim, director of the Ohio State University Alumni Associations Advocates Program, to be the associate executive director of the Pitt Alumni Association, effective Feb. 5.

"I'm very excited and honored to have been chosen to represent the University of Pittsburgh and the Alumni Association as its associate executive director," said Gleim. "Pittsburgh is a tight-knit community, and moving there is something my family and I are welcoming, since we come from a similar environment in Columbus. I'm excited about jumping into not only the University family, but also the entire community."

"I am delighted to welcome Jeff to Pitt," said Leland Patouillet, Pitt associate vice chancellor and executive director of the Pitt Alumni Association. "Jeff brings a wealth of experience having served for more than a decade in a number of key management positions within Ohio State Alumni Association. I am confident that he will add a new perspective to an already outstanding team of professionals."

At Ohio State, which is regarded as one of the top alumni organizations in the country, Gleim was responsible for more than 200 alumni clubs and organizations worldwide. He directed a successful alumni advocacy program and was instrumental in developing its new strategic plan and generating new sources of revenue.

At Pitt, Gleim will oversee the communications, marketing, membership, student involvement, and outreach areas within the alumni association.

Gleim earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in political science at Ohio State. He and his wife, Michelle, have two sons, Todd, age 14, and Tyler, age 4.
