Newsmaker: Brian Beaton
Noteworthy: Beaton was one of two University of Pittsburgh faculty members who won $2,500 Dick Thornburgh Faculty Academic Support Grants from Pitt's Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy. The grants are intended to fund the incorporation of the archival material of Thornburgh, a Pitt alumnus and former Pennsylvania governor, into Pitt courses, encourage student research in archives and increase students' recognition of the value of primary source material.
