EXHIBITIONS
Through 11/30 Students in Pitt’s Museum Studies course, within the Department of History of Art and Architecture, present an exhibition titled Face Value: (De)Constructing Identity in Portraits at the University Art Gallery, Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Drive, Oakland. Through 12/21 The University Library System presents an exhibition of first editions and significant works of famed novelist Charles Dickens, Room 363, Hillman Library, 3960 Forbes Ave., Oakland. MUSIC
11/27 The Pitt Men’s Glee Club will perform a free half-hour set of Victorian Christmas carols, 7:30 p.m., Special Collections Room, 363 Hillman Library, 3960 Forbes Ave., Oakland. The concert is in conjunction with the free display of rare first editions by Charles Dickens, also in the Special Collections Room, which runs through Dec. 21.

11/30 The Emerging Legend Series presents the music of jazz/folk vocalist Brenda Jean, noon-1 p.m., Cup & Chaucer Café, ground floor, Hillman Library, 3960 Forbes Ave., Oakland. The free series is presented by the University of Pittsburgh Library System and Calliope: The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society. For more information, visit http://www.calliopehouse.org .
